Saludos!

My name is Barbara. 

I am an American citizen from the suburbs of Chicago, living full time in the Dominican Republic for 12+ years now.  

I am a single mother of 3 children, ages 5-14. I placed my middle child for adoption at birth, and she currently lives in California.

I have an A.A.S. degree in Cosmetology, which was 2 years of studies accumulated to 1600 hours. I also do 14 hours of continued education every 2 years to stay legally licensed. That's an additional 140+ hours to date of studies!

I have been a writer since I was a kid, enthralled originally with poetry- think "Where the Sidewalk Ends" as my original inspiration, But I have a  passion for the language arts in general. 

I studied journalism, english and creative writing at Mchenry County College, Illinois & Paradise Valley Community College in Arizona.

 My creativity and interpretation of life has become more interesting since becoming fluent in Spanish, and even more so since accepting Jesus as my Lord and savior.

Life is a trip, and I'm here for the ride!      (And yes, Jesus take the wheel please!)
